Update 12th August 2020
With the level 2 and level 3 restrictions that are now in place we would like to reassure members that our priority is to ensure the safety of our members and our Whakapapa custodian. From RAL updates we can see they are working on a level 2 operating plan to ensure social distancing.
Just a reminder to all members that any bookings cancelled due to Covid will generate a 100% refund to your booking account.
2020 Season
We are happy to confirm that plans are in place for both lodges to be fully operational this season. The planning for the lodges to be open applies to the level 1 and level 2 restrictions. Please be aware that a move back to level 3 restrictions would suspend our operations at both lodges.
Whakapapa - 2020 operational plan
We have a custodian at Whakapapa to provide breakfast and dinner.  For weekend bookings, please text the custodian Shamus by 7 pm on the Thursday night if you require dinner on the Friday night.  This information is also provided in your booking confirmation.
 Shamus - 022 128 2485
Ohakune - 2020 operational plan
The Ohakune lodge will operate this season without a custodian. Summer rates will apply at Ohakune and members will need to take their own food. The local cafes and  restaurants in Ohakune would love the support of skiers.
We do have a custodian (not living in )who can provide the food for Saturday and Sunday breakfast. Tracey is also on hand to cook a fabulous Saturday night dinner. It is always so nice to step back into the lodge to a yummy meal after a long day on the slopes. For these meals to be financially viable for the club, we do need a minimum of 8 + people confirmed. Please liaise with Jenni the Booking Officer to book in the culinary  skills of Tracey.
For both lodges please see the updated booking conditions that allow us to operate under Covid 19 restrictions.
2020 AGM
The 2020 AGM was a virtual meeting held on Wednesday 29th April at 7.00 pm. The president Tracey Jones hosted the virtual AGM via Google meets. A pre-read AGM document was sent to members before the meeting and it  contained the presentation and the financial reports. The AGM was well attended and ran very smoothly. The minutes of the 2020 AGM will be published in May 2020.
